This message was delivered in December 2008 during two evenings of saturation in the glory. God is calling the church forward into its prophetic destiny to live in the glory realm and to join Christ in ministering out of the glory realm. The prerequisite for this new level of supernatural ministry is the cultivation of a sustained intimacy with Christ.

God is raising up a generation of new mystics who know how to access the realm of extreme glory within the veil of the Most Holy Place. This emerging company of ‘evangelical mystics’ know God intimately through first-hand personal encounter and they are learning to live in an atmosphere of the glory of heaven so that their lives carry the very substance of heaven.

This follow up message focuses upon the fifteen ‘Songs of Ascent’ in the book of Psalms. These songs represent a biblical paradigm of the people of God ascending the hill of the Lord. We ascend in worship and we descend in warfare. God seeks to take us all to the high places of encountering the King of Glory as part of our necessary equipping to engage in the warfare of advancing the Kingdom of God. After the encounter comes the commission as the Lord says, "Whom shall I send and who will go for Us?" (Isaiah 6:8)

We are so accustomed to the word 'discipleship' that we can become dulled to the full implications of what it means to be a true disciple.

We are so accustomed to the word 'discipleship' that we can become dulled to the full implications of what it means to be a true disciple. Jesus' concept of discipleship was more akin to apprenticeship than anything else. As we begin to see ourselves as the apprentices of Christ it shifts us out of the familiar into a new realm of relationship with God. An apprentice is called to learn all of the skills of the Master so that as the apprenticeship intensifies the apprentice finds him or herself doing the very things that Jesus did.

  • Building the Temple with Love & Trust

We often come into the church with fears and suspicion because of wounding in relationships and even by church authority figures. In order to build authentic Christian community we must overcome our fears and begin to build relationships of love and trust

All of us come into the church with fears and suspicion. This is our default condition because we have all been wounded in relationships and sometimes we have even been wounded by authority figures in the church. But in order to build authentic Christian community we must overcome our fears and begin to build relationships of love and trust. The enemy is always seeking to hinder the building of the temple by enticing us into judgment and accusation toward our brethren. Phil draws insights from the book of Nehemiah about rebuilding the walls whilst under siege. He outlines important principles in building the kind of relationships that are necessary for a healthy expression of Christian community.

  • Christ in You: the Hope of Glory

Have you ever heard believers praying for an 'open heavens?' Pauline theology does not emphasise 'rending the heavens' to achieve a spiritual breakthrough.

Have you ever heard believers praying for an 'open heavens?' Pauline theology does not emphasise 'rending the heavens' to achieve a spiritual breakthrough. In the Old Testament we read, "Oh, that You would rend the heavens! That You would come down! That the mountains might shake at Your presence." (Isaiah 64:1) In the New Testament Paul emphasises that this supernatural glory emerges from within as the fragrance of Christ is released from our spirit and expressed through every aspect of our lives. The reality of the indwelling of Christ changes the way we think about ourselves. Every believer has an open heavens if they have Christ within!

In this insightful teaching Phil discusses ten developmental thresholds that we must overcome in order to enter into a powerful healing ministry.

In this insightful teaching Phil discusses ten developmental thresholds that we must overcome in order to enter into a powerful healing ministry. Many of these thresholds are conceptual in nature but there are other thresholds such as 'risk-taking' and 'courage and boldness' that are more than theological concepts. They are attributes of the divine nature of Christ that the Holy Spirit seeks to form in us. This CD will be tremendously helpful for anyone who is contending for a personal breakthrough in the supernatural ministry of Christ as it charts the conceptual journey into healing.

In this message Phil explores the unique brokenness that comes into the lives of those who habitually use drugs of any kind. Particular attention is given to the nature of addiction and the process of breaking the power of addiction in peoples' lives.

In this message Phil explores the unique brokenness that comes into the lives of those who habitually use drugs of any kind. Phil explores the damage that comes into the soul (the mind, the will and the emotions) and he explores the process of healing from drug damage and the path back to wholeness. Particular attention is given to the nature of addiction and the process of breaking the power of addiction in the lives of those who give their will over to substance abuse. This message is a companion to ‘Marijuana and the Christian’ and ‘Pharmakeia: A Biblical Perspective on Drugs and Sorcery.’

Jesus gave the Great Commission to a company of disciples who had encountered the glory of God. In this insightful message Phil shares foundational biblical principles for successful Kingdom ministry. Often believers eagerly seek to fulfil the Great Commission without first encountering the King of Glory. But Jesus did not send forth the disciples until He was confident that they had been blasted by the glory of God. Those who have encountered the glory of God become export quality believers who not only carry the message; they become the message!

This prophetic teaching was delivered in November 2008 at the 'Uncommon Faith' conference at Dayspring Church in Sydney, Australia. In this message Phil explores seven gates the Lord is taking the church through as we transition into the glory realm to become a glorious church that is fully equipped to minister out of the glory realm.

The message is based upon a powerful prophetic word in the Book of Isaiah: "Go through, go through the gates! Prepare the way for the people; build up, build up the highway! Take out the stones, lift up a banner for the peoples!" (Isaiah 62:10) This life-changing message will envision you for the necessary transitions that the church must undergo in order to enter into the fullness of its prophetic destiny.

  • Grace and the Lordship of Christ

Ten times Paul used the phrase, 'The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ....." A lot of people get messed up over the idea of grace and start to think it means a license to sin.

Ten times Paul used the phrase, 'The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ....." A lot of people get messed up over the idea of grace and start to think it means a license to sin. Jude warned about certain people "who change the grace of our God into a license for immorality and deny Jesus Christ our only Sovereign and Lord" (Jude 4).

The grace flows from the Lord so we have to receive Christ as Lord to get the flow of grace happening but when we come under His reign of grace we are empowered to please the Lord. In this message Phil teases out the relationship between the grace of God and the Lordship of Christ.

If Jesus was on the earth today in the midst of 21st century Western civilization how would He minister to people? We are living in the midst of a radicalised postmodern culture where multitudes are attracted to the experiential realm.

In this message Phil explores the essence of the ministry of Jesus and notes that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever. How do we engage with our current culture in a way that scratches people where they really itch? This teaching calls the church back to the centrality of experience in the ministry of Jesus.

  • Intimacy and the Glory Realm

The Lord is looking for a people upon whom He can establish a habitation for His glory and it all depends upon a company of believers who will allow the Lord to establish His intimacy in their hearts both individually and corporately.

Intimacy and the Glory Realm (2 Message Set)

This two part series was originally presented at the ‘Uncommon Faith’ conference in Sydney in November 2008 under the title of ‘Go through the Gates.’ It was later presented at New Earth Tribe as an extended teaching on a Sunday night. As the evening unfolded the Lord came and powerfully highlighted the relationship between intimacy and the capacity to sustain the abiding glory of God.

The Lord is looking for a people upon whom He can establish a habitation for His glory and it all depends upon a company of believers who will allow the Lord to establish His intimacy in their hearts both individually and corporately. This evening that moved from teaching to worship and back into teaching became a powerful turning point for our community.

  • Labourers in the Vineyard

Jesus is looking for labourers in the kingdom to serve both the church and the world but He is seeking to equip and deploy a particular kind of labourer who can impart the realities of heaven.

Labourers in the Vineyard (2 Message Set)

    1. Labourers in the Vineyard (Part 1)
Jesus told three parables where He likened the Kingdom of Heaven to a Vineyard. In this message Phil introduces the concept of labourers who do all their work in the context of the heavenly vineyard. Jesus is the Vine, the Father is the Vinedresser; the sons are the branches and the Spirit is the wine and together we constitute the ‘Supernatural Vineyard’ that produces the best supernatural fruit!

    2. Labourers in the Vineyard (Part 2)
In this message Phil explores the concept of the ‘Wine Cellar’ of Heaven as the place from which all Christians should engage in ministry. Jesus ministered out of a place of continuous intoxication in the love of the Father. Now He calls His disciples to ‘abide in the vine;’ to minister out of a place of continuous intoxication in the wine of heaven. All our labours must be done in the vineyard. Unless we learn how to abide in the vine we will burn out in ministry. This message is a key to finding a place of intoxication and bliss in doing the ministry of the Kingdom. Lovers always outwork and outlast labourers!

  • Living for the Greater Glory

In 2nd Corinthians chapters 3 and 4 Paul outlines his vision for a church that contended for the ‘greater glory’ of the New Covenant; a glory that radically eclipsed the glory of the Old Covenant.

Paul was one of the most radical leaders in the entire history of the church (alongside Jesus of course). Paul’s goal was to radicalise the church so that they would imitate him just as he imitated Jesus. In 2nd Corinthians chapters 3 and 4 Paul outlines his vision for a church that contended for the ‘greater glory’ of the New Covenant; a glory that radically eclipsed the glory of the Old Covenant.

Paul radically pursued this realm and touched dimensions of heavenly experience that sets a benchmark for the church in every age. Paul lived exclusively for the greater glory and he challenges us to lay our lives down for the ultimate revelation of the emergence of the glorious church.

    2.  The High Priestly Ministry of Bliss
This message, delivered on the second of two evenings in December 2008 explores the High Priestly ministry of Christ. He is a High Priest in the ‘Order of Melchizedek.’ This is an entirely new priestly order and the substance of this priestly ministry is the mystic bliss of heaven. "Christ arrived as the High Priest of the bliss that was to be..." (Hebrews 9:11 Moffatt Translation) The bliss of heaven is a glorious blend of the love, the joy and the peace of God that is poured out upon the lovers of Christ. Join this emerging company of heavenly ambassadors who are called, not only to receive but also to minister the mystic bliss of heaven. These two messages were saturated in a Spirit of Revelation and everyone who attended these meetings attested to the transformational nature of these powerful messages.

  • Love On-Ramps to the Kingdom

Love is the most powerful healing property in the universe and it is an experience that transcends our capacity to understand it intellectually. The ministry of the intoxicating love of Christ is the most powerful on-ramp to the kingdom of heaven.

God is love and He wants us to experience His love above all things. Paul said, “May you experience the love of Christ, though it is so great you will never fully understand it. Then you will be filled with the fullness of life and power that comes from God.”  (Ephesians 3:19 NLT) Love is the most powerful healing property in the universe and it is an experience that transcends our capacity to understand it intellectually. The ministry of the intoxicating love of Christ is the most powerful on-ramp to the kingdom of heaven.

In this message Phil explores the nature of marijuana and its damaging influence upon those who smoke it. Using his own story of heavy marijuana use in the 1970’s Phil illustrates firsthand the detrimental effects of marijuana and he unpacks the spiritual implications of marijuana use, especially the relationship between psychotropic drug use and the demonic realm.

This message is a companion to the two part message titled’ Pharmakeia: A Biblical Perspective on Drugs and Sorcery’ and ‘Drug Induced Brokenness’ which explores the unique brokenness that comes into the life of the drug user. Marijuana and the Christian is a particularly useful tool to give to a Christian who is still seeking to justify Marijuana use.

  • Ministry to the Drug Culture

Ministry to the Drug Culture (4 Message Set)

All of us are aware that the Bible warns against the excessive consumption of wine and drunkenness. Alcohol abuse has been a human phenomenon as far back as we look into history. Even Noah got loaded to deal with the stress of the flood! But did you know that the Scriptures are not silent on other forms of drug abuse?

‘Pharmakeia’ is the generic Greek word for drugs. The Bible warns that the use of drugs brings forth a harvest of deception in people’s lives. In this series Phil develops a biblical understanding of drugs and explores the unique forms of human brokenness that come from drug abuse.

  • Namaan, the River and the Healing

What if the healing anointing you are seeking only comes by immersing yourself in the river of God, no matter how humbling or messy it may appear?

Part 2 of 2 teaching set called "The Wisdom of the River". In the book of Kings the prophet told Namaan to immerse himself in the river to obtain the healing that he sought. The church is desperately seeking to lay hold of a new level of healing power to see a breakthrough in the release of the healing ministry of Christ. Namaan refused to humble himself by immersing himself in the river seven times but when he finally obeyed the prophet he obtained his healing.

What if the healing anointing you are seeking only comes by immersing yourself in the river of God, no matter how humbling or messy it may appear? In this insightful message Phil notes that those who embraced the river and who stayed in the river have all entered into a powerful healing anointing. Let this two part series challenge you to pursue a breakthrough in healing the sick.

Jesus only did what He saw the Father doing. (John 5:19) His life mirrored the life and works of the Father so that we now have a crystal clear revelation of the nature and purposes of God. Jesus Christ is perfect theology! He is the visible image of the invisible God! He said that if we have seen Him we have seen the Father.

Just as Jesus only did what He saw the Father doing, in like manner we are now called to only do what we see Jesus doing. Our lives are called to mirror the life of Christ on earth just as Jesus’ life mirrored the life of His Father. Jesus’ life is the very pattern of sonship and we are called to imitate both the life and the lifestyle of Christ. This message reveals the high calling of Christian discipleship and invites the listener into the ultimate adventure of becoming like Christ in His nature and His works.
